This is a Fine Quality piece ! An English, Antique, Georgian Mechanical Candle Snuffer/Scissors in Steel, circa 1830. A modern technology of its tme as you open the scissors it snuffs and cuts the wick. The snuffer stands on three legs, made completely of Steel, Iron, and a pinned hinge. The snuffer is stamped wth a crown and the partial word "warranted". The steel has a wonderful dark patina and is very tactile to the touch, to hold and to handle. Length is just under 6 3/4". Still overall wonderful condition and still working with a smooth mechanism. Please look at all the pictures to determine the condition and your level of interest.
